A certain author and former governing body member stumbled me right out the org. I keep forgetting to send him a thank you letter.

Huh? The cost of production is around a couple of bucks!?"
Yeah, and that's if it were produced by a secular company which pays its employees, provides insurance, pays social security, taxes, etc. Imagine how little it actually costs WTBTS to make these things. They also strongly discourage home-made copies. Just disseminating the word of God, huh?

anyone now have an aversion to dress clothes?
by spike2 inanyone else have an aversion to dress clothes, now that you aren't forced to wear a suit and tie (women insert their version here) to sit a stadium for 8 hours on a summer day?
being forced to do this as a young child traumatized me pretty good!

Scrub-A-Dub-Dub
by new light inremember all the cleaning we would be "asked" to do?
pre-convention, mid-convention, post-convention, kingdumb hall, field service car, assembly hall, the list seems endless.
what better way to cap off a day of mind-numbing sermons and interviews than by mopping a filthy arena in your best suit?

This may betray my humble JW roots (never in administration) but one year as a teen I served with my dad on "puke patrol" as we called it. That's right, on call for emergency cleaning. Yeah, we unclogged a few toilets that day, but we still had less sh*t on our hands than the poor clods in the auditorium!

Need advice for back pain
by new light indoes anyone have some real-world advice for lower back pain / sciatica?
i've had it for years and it doesn't get any better or worse overall, but i'd like to lessen or eliminate it?
would a really good mattress make a difference?

As far as the NSAID's, I take 4-8 Advils a day, which helps immensely. I bicycle a couple times a week, alternating with careful weight lifting. I don't presently have medical insurance, so therapy, etc. is really out of the question financially.
Xena: How much would you say the mattress helps? I don't expect to ever be pain-free, but is it worth my hard-earned cash to buy a serious slab o' springs?

Would a really good mattress make a difference? The pain is at its worst when I"m in bed, so it seems like this could be the place to look, but I don't want to spend $1000 and have it not help. Can anyone experienced in this area help me? I'd really appreciate it.
Painfully,
